The Origin of Tagliatelle
The origin of tagliatelle can be traced to the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, specifically the city of Bologna. It is said that these long, flat pastas were invented in the 15th century by a famous Italian chef, Maestro Zefirano. He created this shape of pasta to pay homage to the beautiful hair of a princess from Bologna, whom he secretly loved.
Tagliatelle are made from a simple dough made from flour, eggs, and salt. The dough is rolled out into a thin sheet and then cut into wide, flat strips, about 1 cm wide. These strips of pasta are then boiled in salted water until al dente.
Adding Smoked Salmon
The combination of tagliatelle and smoked salmon is perfect. Smoked salmon adds an intense flavor and a delicate texture to the pasta, creating a perfect balance between flavors. This ingredient was added to the original recipe by another talented Italian chef, Chef Antonio, who wanted to bring a touch of elegance and refinement to the dish.
To prepare tagliatelle with smoked salmon, you need fresh smoked salmon, which can be found in specialized stores or can be prepared at home. The salmon is cut into thin strips and then added to the cooked tagliatelle. A creamy sauce, made of cream, lemon and dill, can also be added to complete the taste and bring an extra freshness.
A food appreciated all over the world
Tagliatelle with Smoked Salmon is a culinary dish that has spread throughout the world due to its unique combination of flavors and textures. This recipe has been taken over and adapted in many countries, while still preserving the authentic and characteristic taste of Italian cuisine.
Today, Tagliatelle with Smoked Salmon can be enjoyed in luxury restaurants around the world or can be prepared at home to impress family and friends. It is a dish that brings a touch of elegance and refinement to our plate and reminds us of the rich and delicious Italian culinary tradition.
Ingredients:
320 grams fresh taglitelle pasta
200 grams smoked salmon
350 grams cherry tomatoes
100 milliliters cooking cream
3 cloves garlic
1 bunch chopped parsley
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
salt
black pepper

Preparation Method:
We start by cutting the cherry tomatoes in half. Then, in a large frying pan, we put the olive oil and garlic. Let it heat up over moderate heat, be careful not to burn the garlic, just to soften it a little.
Then, we add the sliced cherry tomatoes and heat them up over moderate heat, stirring with a wooden spatula. When the tomatoes start to boil, we add the salmon pieces and add 2-3 tablespoons of pasta water, so as not to reduce the sauce too much.
Meanwhile, in a large pot, we bring the water to a boil and when it starts to boil, we add the salt and the tagliatelle. We cook them according to the instructions on the package.
One minute before cooking the pasta, we add the fresh parsley and cream to the pan with the salmon and cherry tomato sauce. Mix well so that all the ingredients combine nicely.
Drain the pasta and add it to the saucepan, stirring gently to coat it in the delicious salmon and cherry tomato sauce.
So, dear friends, now is the time to enjoy this delicacy!
Serve the tagliatelle with salmon and cherry tomatoes warm and garnished with a little fresh parsley.
Bon appetit and have a delicious meal with your loved ones!
